Week 1

Jackson is just such a blessing in our lives. Jared and I find ourselves just staring at him when he is
sleeping...such a beautiful baby!

We have been doing tummy time several times a day.  Jackson does good for about three minutes and then he's had enough and he lets you know it.

We got the baby monitor in the mail a few days ago and have it all set up...it has night vision and a flat screen- we may have went a little over board- but it was worth it. Now we can lay in bed and watch tv and the baby at the same time!  Like my brother said...you should be able to do anything with the baby while watching tv (he was kidding ... I think).

Grandma Wine came up and helped out for the first week or so and was a huge help.  She may have had to douse mom in cold water a few times to get her up to feed Jackson- I never knew you could sleep through a screaming baby- but if you are tired enough you can!

Heather, Taylor and Kendall were able to make it up over the weekend to see Jackson- Oliver had a blast with TWO little people to play with.

Grandpa Teach came up over the past weekend to see his first grandson.  We had a great lazy weekend that included sleep, lots of food and some more sleep.  We were channeling Jackson all weekend- sleep, eat, poop, repeat.

Here are some pics to enjoy from the past week (please note that in almost every picture we have taken there is a least a portion of a fluffy white dog in the picture. Oliver has to be a part of the action at all times).

Oliver wanting to be in the picture too.

Chillin' on the floor (had to coax Oliver out of the picture with a treat).

Mommy and me (fluffy white dog bottom left hand side)

Grandma  Wine with her two grandsons (No fluffy white dog b/c Taylor is holding him)

Grandpa Teach with his first grandson (fluffy white dog middle left side)

Three generations of Teachs (no fluffy white dog b/c I am holding him as I take the picture)

Week 0-1

Wow- what a week!  Being a mom is awesome.  There are times (mainly at 2 am) where I think "what have I gotten  myself into"... but those thoughts fade right away when I see Jackson's face.  Jared and I feel so blessed to have this little guy in our lives.

Here are some more pictures from week 0-1.

After my first bath.

Tummy Time.  I actually can do about three minutes before I start screaming.

Aunt Nancy.

Daddy, Jackson and Oliver.  Oliver has to be right next to the baby at all times.

Burrito Baby.

Daddy and Jackson taking a nap.

Oliver decided to snack on some dirty diapers- mommy was NOT happy.

Cutest Baby Ever!!!

Okay, okay, I might be biased, but I think this is one adorable kiddo.
Here are some pics from his first few days.

Nursery Pics

Jackson hasn't had the chance to use his crib yet, but the room is all ready for him.

38 1/2 weeks

We had our final doctors appointment today, as well as a sonogram to see how big the baby is measuring.  I won't say how big the baby measured in at because Jared's office is having a baby pool, but I will tell you that he is measuring in the 95th percentile for weight!  The doctor said "we consider this a big baby".

We are going to get induced on Tuesday 6/15 at 8 pm and little baby teach will be here sometime on Wed 6/16!

The sonographer took some 4-D pics of Baby Teach during our session today.  I don't have a scanner at home, so I wasn't able to scan the pics in, so I just took a photo of the image- sorry it's kind of grainy.

38 weeks

Hmmmm...I'm stumped.

Walking ... check.
Spicy Food (with massive amounts of heartburn after) ... check.
Thunder Storm ... check.
Jumping Up and Down ... check.
Hot Bath ... check.
Crying and begging baby to come out ... check.

Tomorrow I am going to get a hand and foot massage to help alleviate swelling and numbness in my hands and feet- maybe that will make the little sucker come out.

37 1/2 weeks

Well, nothing new to report. My check up this week was the same as last week- 50% effaced and 1 centimeter dilated.  I have started to ask my friends what they have done to "evict" their babies and here is what I have been told so far:

1.) Walk
2.) Jump Up and Down
3.) Same thing you did to get the little guy in there (wink, wink)
4.) Tacos

Tonight I took a brisk walk with Oliver to see if that would get anything moving.  I came home sweaty, out of breath and in pain b/c my feet swelled.  Hmmm....I guess I'll try 2-4 next.  Taco Bell here I come!
