Best Buds

I swear I have two kiddos.  One in the form of an actual baby and the other in the form of a white furry dog.  These two are inseparable.

Oliver and Jackson love to play together.  Jackson chases Oliver around in his walker and vice versa.  Jackson also likes it when I push him around in his scooter chasing Oliver.  And we've discovered how to play tug-of-war with one another.  Oliver usually wins, but Jackson puts up a good fight.

Taking a break from playing.

Bed Head

Do you think it's time for a haircut?

Jackson 31 Weeks

This week was a big week for sounds.  Jackson said "ba, ba, ba" and Jared and I swore he said "ma, ma" last night!  Jackson loves to watch his Baby Einstein videos.  One of them has some sheep on it and they will say "ba, ba, ba" and Jackson will say it right back to them.  So proud!

Jackson has also been improving his walker skills.  He can now make it into another room by the time I turn by back and turn back around- awesome. He loves to walk himself into the living room and "talk" to Oliver.  He'll jabber and scream at Oliver and Oliver just stares at him from the top of the couch where Jackson can't reach him.

Mommy got some of Jackson's big boy toys out this week for him to try.  We played with wood blocks, rode a scooter and played with daddy's shoe strings :)

Just park it anywhere

He didn't even put it in park before he fell asleep.

7 months

We had a fun, fun week this week.  On Monday we went to work with daddy up in Temecula.  We hung out at the mall while daddy worked and then drove through wine country and stopped to have a tasting at a local winery.  Later in the week we went to the zoo with some friends to see all the crazy, funny animals and then finished up our week with some cookie baking and a barbecue.

Ha, ha, ha, mommy got a picture before Jackson ate the sign.

A couple of monkeys monkeying around.

This little monkey looked like a gremlin.

I wouldn't want to meet up with this guy in a dark alley.

Cutie in the tub.

29 Weeks

No age sign this time.  Jackson ate it.

 Can you say slobber? Yowsers.

Toys!

All of the Christmas toys that Jackson received in Kansas City showed up this week and boy did he have a good time testing them all out.  Thank you to all of our family and friends who showered Jackson with gifts (or should I say spoiled!) for his first Christmas. We are stocked up at the Teach household!

One of Jackson's favorite toys is the walker.  Watch out- once this kid is mobile he is going to be everywhere.  When we put him in it for the first time he just wiggled his feet and laughed.  Then he figured out what he was supposed to do and no one was safe in the house.  I'm starting to re-think this toy.

Cute and innocent before he figured the toy out

He figured it out!  Going ...

Going ...

Gone.

But there is one thing Jackson hasn't figured out yet.

How to back up!  He got himself stuck under the kitchen table :)

28 Weeks

The weekly pictures are getting harder and harder to take the older Jackson gets.  Here are my attempts at the 28 week picture.

Yum, yum, yum.  If I knew how much Jackson would like his fruits and vegetables, I would have given them to him way before now.  No funny faces, no spitting the food out.  He takes them down like a champ.

Grandma Wine came out to visit us after Christmas and help us move in to the new house.  She was such a big help.  Jackson loved snuggling with grandma on the swing outside and falling asleep with her!

We took a break from cleaning and unpacking to watch the sunset on the beach and enjoy some yummy Mexican food in the Carlsbad Village.

Jared, Shari and Grandma noshed on some chips and salsa ...

... while Jackson noshed on the table.

Best Friends

Kendall, Jackson and Oliver became good friends during our visit to Kansas.  There is nothing cuter than kids and dogs and the below pictures prove it.

Four Christmases

No, I'm not referring to the Vince Vaugh/Reese Witherspoon movie.  I'm referring to the Teach Family Christmas 2010!

Jared, Jackson and I traveled to Kansas for two weeks over the Holidays.  It was so nice to spend Jackson's first Christmas with our friends and family.  Here are some of the highlights below.
